Description: AUSTRALIA. GVI 1951 2d Coil "By Authority" Imprint block of 4. Fine mint. According to my 2006 Brusden White (Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue..ACSC), blocks with coil perfs derive from surplus sheets placed on sale from August 1953 after the discontinuation of the 2d coils. Very fine mint - with a very faint hinge mark on the reverse of the upper left stamp. Slight perf split (the 6 perfs in the margin only) between the rows in the margin. The lower margin has been folded in line with the perfs. SG 237b (normal coil block). ACSC 248zh (imprint block) at a premium of 7x the normal coil block without the "By Authority" imprint.
