Description: I am selling from my collection a vintage AVO Two-Panel Valve Tube Tester (MK I) made in UK, Predecessor of MK II, III, VI, CT-160 etc. with Printed Manual (~ 50 pages) & Data Watch the video that shows testing a Mullard EL34 tube. This is a very old tube tester (~1940?) but can test most modern tubes. Lots of info and test data available online. This particular one runs on 220V (adjustable within a range). I use it with a step-up transformer. I tried a few common tubes (12AX7, EL34, etc) on it. I was able to complete the steps according to the manual. However, the testing results are questionable. I am not a technician and can't troubleshoot the causes. I suspect some of the components got off specs and render unreliable results. At least, it needs calibration for sure. Lots of online discussion on this subject. Physical condition is good for the age. There are wear and scratches, as shown in pictures. Sale only includes the tester and the printed manual.
