Description: For your consideration is this majestic looking VINTAGE 1970's collectible empty AVON Alaskan Bull Moose Country aftershave decanter bottle. If I'm not mistaken, I believe this bottle dates back to the mid to late 1970's. The aforementioned notwithstanding, that makes this decanter at least 45 years old. The decanter remains in very good condition showing very little wear, if any at all, from handling and storage over the years. The inside of the bottle still retains that vintage and oh-so nostalgic aroma of the Avon aftershave that once filled the bottle. The beautiful looking figural decanter bottle is made of translucent brown colored glass and is molded in the shape of an Alaskan bull moose. The decanter top (Moose head) is made out of brown translucent colored plastic and is easily removed (pulls off) to reveal the decanter's screw bottle top. The glass decanter bottle has no damage and retains its smooth translucent brown color appearance. The plastic moose head and antlers also remain in very good condition having no damage. Overall, this collectible piece of AVON memorabilia is a desirable decanter style that displays beautifully. The empty decanter weighs approximately 1.0 pound 2.0 ounces by itself and stands approximately 9.75" tall overall as measured from the base to the top of the highest antler point. The glass base of the moose decanter measures approximately 4.75" long and 1.75" wide as can be verified in the description photos. On the bottom of the decanter the brand name "AVON" and the number "4" are embossed into the glass bottom. Please refer to description photos # 8 and # 9 for more details about what I have described. As previously described, the top of the decanter (the moose's head) is removable. When the head is pulled off it reveals the decanter's screw on bottle cap.
