Description: 1920's - 30's I think. Manet's paintbrush and now this beer mug, probably the most famous of English beers certainly as far a longevity is concerned. I was a draft bass drinker ( thereal ale type) at the Magazine Pub in New Brighton Merseyside, something about allowing the keg to mature gave it a fruity taste that made you just want more andmore! There's a few messages a hanging man image inside implies if you've drunk this much its gonna kill you! In loving memory a pic of a bottle of Bass surrounded by a funeral wreath. We have a logo of a crossed corkscrew and a clay pipe which represents other related sins. Then the main image is a limerick type thing that to me anyway implies if you can't drink ale who needs to be alive anyway, which i don't think is the intended message. Transferware old school, crazing which is normal no chips really good condition no cracks, a really nice piece. 3 1/2" tall so you might as well fill it with whiskey ! Happy to combine shipping and you will get a good deal, if you buy a few items using 'buy it now' add the items to your cart first and request a combined invoice. With multiple items as you go to pay there is a link on the invoice page and a request will automatically be sent to me.
