Description: Extremely Rare: Vintage AYNSLEY Pembroke Marbled Teal or Turquoise Banded, Fluted and Gold Trimmed, Multicolor English Bone China Cup and Saucer. Pembroke by Aynsley is a late 20th Century (approx. 1980s) Antique Reproduction of an 18th Century (1700s) Georgian Pattern. The pattern includes a Blue Bird of Knowledge and multicolor flowers. An inner band of the cup and an outer band of the saucer are fluted. This beautiful cup and saucer are in good, pre-owned condition. I personally have not seen another Aynsley Pembroke cup and saucer with these stunning, marble effect bands of color and they are, of course, out of production. The only noteworthy defect is a firing one on the bottom of the cup (see photos # 5 & 6). This detracts neither from the use of the cup and saucer for hot beverages nor their beauty for display purposes.
