We still face today the pseudo-intellectual whose creed is aca- demic disbelief. Such a person will affirm that God does not exist, that the Bible is unreli- able, or that Jesus Christ immortalized Him- self in institutions, rather than allowing that Christ is alive today and ruling in the hearts of regenerate men as their Savior and Lord. The other factor that commends this book to me is that it comes out of the heart and work of a man in touch with life. He invests the time that is necessary to learn truth as it is in Jesus. The spiritual insight he has gained is employed in the great service of counseling troubled people.
