Description: Two magazine advertisements featuring the BALL-BAND brand of Sports Shoes. Ad #1 appeared in the OPEN ROADS for BOYS magazine, September, 1939. Ad measures 5" x 10 1/2". Part of magazine article appears on the back-side of the ad. Ad #2 appeared in "YOUNG AMERICA" National News Weekly for Youth magazine, September 16, 1948. Reverse side of this ad has a nice, well-illustrated ad for Coca-Cola. Ad measures 5" x 5 1/4". "The Shoes with the famous Red Ball on the sole." All kinds of selling points and features appear in the ads descriptions. Numerous illustrations used to help get message across to readers. This was a very popular brand during that era. Unlike all of our sports shoes today, these were manufactured right here in the good old U.S.A. by Mishawaka Rubber & Woolen Mfg. Co. I'll place the ads inside of plastic sleeves and add a piece of white foam board for protection while mailing by USPS First Class in a bubble envelope.I'll mail the same day, or next day after payment is received.
