Description: Ball started making mason jars in 1880. Many people still use them for canning, or just collect them. This is a small Half Pint "Ball Ideal" Jar. It measures about 3" high and 3" in diameter. By the way the "Ball" script is written, it is dated from a 1933-1962 era. The "Ideal" label was discontinued in 1962. So, that dates this jar between 1933-1962. This jar is in very good condition. The glass is perfect with absolutely no chips or cracks. The bail is perfect, and works well. On the side, it states, "Wire Side". On the bottom is is the number "6". It does not have the rubber liner. This jar is perfect, very clear, and no chips or cracks. It looks to be never used.
