Description: I have for sale a medal from the 1912 Democratic National Convention that was held at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore, Maryland. Woodrow Wilson was nominated for president and he became our 28th president. The medal has three pieces. The top pinback bar is gilded metal, it is 1 3/4 inches wide and in circulated condition. At the top of the bar it shows an odd shape shield with a field of blue enamel with 13 gold stars and red & white stripes. Below the shield it reads BALTIMORE 1912. At the bottom of the bar it reads in gold letters TAMMANY and it is surrounded by blue enamel & to the sides there are stars. The background red, white & blue ribbon is in very poor condition. Attached to the top bar are the wings of eagles & the eagle stands on top of a frame with the bust of THOMAS JEFFERSON with his name. Below the frame on a ribbon, it reads, DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION. Please see over 950 more collectibles for sale in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables. (19,098 TRRA)
