These may have been used one time in the past 25 years as soup bowls but I also think they are more likely to be used as containers for flour, sugar, tea, coffee grounds or candy, etc. They are sturdy and have raised embossed designs of pear leaves on the sides and a pear atop the lids. They are all white -- no coloring whatsoever. Clean. No chips, scratches or cracks. As good as new, basically or EUC. They each stand just under 4 in high, and have an opening diameter of 5.5 inches.
