This vintage piece, which we believe is made of some sort of poly-resin, is about 7" in height and 4.5" wide and is excellent condition. Bastet is a well-known Egyptian goddess who is often depicted as a cat or a cat-headed woman. She was a powerful protective figure who was also known for her fertility and nurturing qualities. Bastet was worshiped as a deity from the Second Dynasty onwards, and was especially popular in Lower Egypt.
