Description: This beautiful Bates Caprilli saddle was purchased late fall 2022 and ridden in lightly throughout the winter (1-2 times a week). It's been house kept on a saddle stand bagged, kept clean, and well oiled. This Caprilli is the Close Contact+ model with a forward flap and its seat is 18". This fits well for folks who have long legs (I have a long femur and this fit me nicely). It's very comfortable both on the flat and over fences. The saddle uses the HART system from Bates, so it is air rather than a foam or wool flock. It also features an adjustable tree. The tool to change out the tree (as well as other accessories provided at purchase) are included. The tree has not been changed, it is currently medium. Despite being adjustable, this is only being sold as my new horse doesn't fit this saddle in the scapula, which adjusting the tree sadly won't fix. Otherwise, it is a lovely and comfortable saddle that in the medium tree fit most the horses I put it on. The saddle is in impeccable condition with the small exception of a spot on both sides under the flap where the girth rubbed once when I didn't have the girth guards on. Includes fleece cover and Bates bag. Does NOT include stirrup leathers or stirrups.
