Description: Beaded Black Burlesque or Belly Dancing Bra with Bead Fringe 34' to 35"- 36"- 38" C to D cups is my best size estimate. Read on for fit and size suggestions This is a handmade costume Bra top made for a belly dance outfit. Beaded all over as shown in photos. Inside is fully lined. Has sewn in shaped bra cups under lining. Back band is elasticized allowing 3 different fits via the hook and eye closures. There are 4 hooks in 3 different placements. Sizing: Important to read this: I estimate this top to fit a , 34" to 35" to 36" to 38" bra size with a C or D cup. Band is very flexible so will stretch to fit. When laid out flat with band fastened to smallest size and elastic not stretched the piece measures 16" x 2 + 32" around at the bottom of band. This can be extended to 38" when you stretch the elastic to the fullest extent. This is not measured inclusive of the bra cups - only the band. I think you could also extend the size by using a bra extender tab - available at sewing shops or online. They used these a lot in the vintage era and they are used in costume making shops today. They are still available. I have seen them at Joanne's Fabrics recently. Mannequin on which beaded bra is shown measures a 35" bust. This bra does not offer much support and is not underwired. It sort of sits on your torso hanging from the straps and allowing full body movement. I have made many dance costumes ( I did not make this one) but I think you could sew in a strapless bra very easily if you wanted a more supportive fit. If you were to do so this beaded one would be the decorative outer portion and your strapless bra would give you real support. The beading is beautifully done. Think of this as a beaded over bra for a real bra that you would wear under it. I would sew a strapless underwire bra into this one to create more support and hold your girls in the most flattering position. This was purchased at a middle Eastern shop and was sold as a Medium size. It was worn only once by an opera singer as a portion of her Salome costume for a single performance. It is clean and looks unused. It is about 20 yrs old as of this listing. Realistically I think you should expect to do some alterations to get a good fit. Straps are not adjustable so you might need to shorten or lengthen them. Alterations would be very easy to do Most dancers are used to customizing their costumes for a personal fit. This bra will definitely allow you to do so. It is a good piece and has great costuming potential. Best fits a Medium according to the shop where it was sold.
