BEAUTIFUL MEXICAN COLONIAL FILIGREE 14K PEARL “EL JARDIN DANGLING EARRINGS 13.5G

Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a lovely vintage pair of earrings made in Oaxaca Mexico in the first half of the 20th century. These are known at the “El Jardin” style and each earring is a large 2 1/2” long x 7/8” wide. They are handcrafted from 14k yellow gold filigree and have small fresh water pearl accents. This style earring typically had a wire that came through the reverse earlobe which is a bit difficult to put on. The previous owner had those posts slightly altered to a more conventional French wire. The base of the original back is still attached on the reverse but bent forward. These are very comfortable to wear and much easier to put on. They are in good condition and have normal wear consistent with their age. These have been acid tested for 14k gold but might xray for a slightly lower 12k to 14k content. they weigh 13.5 grams total. ***Please note that my camera is cobalt blue and often makes polished surfaces look dark due to the reflection on the metal surface.*** SHIPPING:First class shipping, insurance, and handling in the US is $20.
