Description: For sale is this beautiful Selmer Omega Intermediate Flute. The flute features a solid silver head, body, and foot. The headjoint features a gold plated crown, lip plate and gold riser. The head is also lined with gold for a wonderful, warm sound. The lip plate is ornately engraved, as well as the barrel on the body with the “Omega” logo - very beautiful. The flute is open hole with inline G and a low B foot w/gizmo. The flute is absolutely beautiful and near perfect. Extremely clean and the pads/bumpers are pristine. The flute plays perfectly from top to bottom with a great focused sound and awesome projection - very easy to play. There are only very light signs of normal surface scratch/knicks from normal use. I doubt this was used for more than a few months. Cosmetically 9.5+/10. The flute comes in the original hardshell Selmer double case which has room inside for a piccolo. The case is also in excellent, very clean condition. This was Selmer’s top of the line intermediate/step-up flute in the 2000s and is no long er produced. It was extremely popular with teachers for advancing, serious students. It is also a popular choice for doublers due to their durability and Selmer’s unique key cup design in the open holes that allows the fingertips to sit directly into the tonehole. The current Selmer equivalent (which does not feature the engraving or gold plating) is retailing for $2,629. This is a chance to get an awesome flute at a fraction of the price.
