The decoration is exquisite, goodness knows how long it to to complete - each side depicts a domestic scene with man and woman in tradional Japanese Kimonos. All parts of the Jar are richly decorated and the rims of the jar and lid along with the bamboo style handles are finished in gilt. Its large - 12 cm high, 15 cm from handle to handle and 7.5 cm dia to the base. it appears hand signed which would signify it is 19th Century
