Description: Betwixt Hell and Heaven by Ernestine G. Coleman M. Ed, Connie Sims Phd, Brenda Chance-Smith My autobiography provides an insightful offering of a life transposed from one of an ignored public education to college graduate, from public housing to the suburbs, from failure to success, from laborer to director positions, from faith possessed to faith accepted and from the streets, wine women, and song to the church, God, the Bible and Bible study. A wanderer and wonderer and wonderer and wanderer of quest without dreams, imagination, inspiration and motivation then becoming one to acquire aspiration, education, maturation and a God affiliation. From my youth to a young man, I was impervious to church, education, dreams, plans and aspirations, though I considered many things. Through the Detroit Public Schools I was offered a quality education without taking advantage of it. From my youth I have persistently wandered and wondered. I wandered mentally and physically and I wondered over my wandering. I moved from youthful activities to alcohol, sex, the streets, bars and socializing with people from every walk of life. Though I indulged in the good and bad of life I did not participate in all of it but I participated in some of it.I wandered and wondered upon experiences with people of most every personality, character, morality, immorality and livelihood. Of some we befriended each other as my maturation benefited from a significant number of diverse people and diverse social groups. My experiences were many and they varied from childhood games to the acceptance or denial of me by separate social groups. After which I reconsidered and change my way of living. I worked unskilled and semiskilled jobs before completing college where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Economics and then to salaried jobs from entry level trainee positions to management level positions. Before marrying I studied the Bible and attended church services of several denominations. Since marrying I have read and studied the Bible, attended church and Bible Study, sang in two choirs, chaired some committees and volunteered for some other activities. I have also coached youth athletic teams, performed some community services and worked on political campaigns.
