The radial bezel design was produced for NASA astronauts between 1970-1978, adorned atop the coveted Alaska prototype watches. The bezel design was never put into production, and survives only in a handful of government and private collections. Until now. Inspecting nearly piece of evidence available, we were able to faithfully recreate the original design down. Our anodized aluminum bezel insert brings the astronaut favorite into the hands of civilians for the first time.This is one (1) anodized aluminum bezel insert. This is only the insert. This does not include an outer steel bezel. This does have an adhesive backing. We recommend that a watchmaker installs this bezel insert, but self-installation can be done. t is hard to capture the finish of the bezel inserts in photos. These are semi-gloss black with silvery lettering similar to stock Speedmaster Professional bezel inserts. The item for sale is a brand new aftermarket replacement insert with Omega Speedmaster. This works with the Omega Speedmaster Tachymetre and will fit most Speedmaster Professional bezels.
