Description: Premium BC412 Plastic Scintillator Material Excellent for use with 1-1/2 inch Photomultiplier Tubes! Sized at about 1.6" X 2-1/4", these are precut Round with Polished Faces Bicron BC412 Scintillator Plastic. This material is a Premium Plastic Scintillator Material tested and guaranteed to work for gamma radiation detection when coupled to a PMT and built into a probe. This is the same material I use when building my own gamma detectors. This size is perfect for use with 1-1/2 inch PMT. The cutting and polishing of this plastic can be very difficult and costly without the proper know-how and equipment. Unless you’re going to build dozens of probes, buying a round precut piece from me is much cheaper (and easier) than trying cut and shape it yourself.
