Collected by a diver in 60 feet of water in the sand, by Olango Island, the Philippines. There is something about the Ammiralis cone that just grabs you... I remember the first ammiralis I found while walking along the beach on Kwajalein. Scott Johnson has some great pictures of live ones he has found and photographed in their habitat in the Kwajalein area on his website, (just Google Kwajalein, you should find it easy.) Anyhow, I had been walking along the beach just after a storm looking for old WW2 machine-gun rounds and such, when there, lying on the sand just in front of me was a still live ammiralis, so he was live collected even if he was a "beached" shell, ha! Only got one other ammiralis that way, a small gem, and today, fifty years later, they still are two of my favorite shells!. And this one---a big, beautifully patterned very near-GEM with a nice spire, with an almost flawless body (very unusual, especially considering its size), and a beautiful lip, is a fabulous shell that will look wonderful on your shelf!The perfect shell for a first-rate collection... As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!As for feedback, as your know, sellers live and die by the feedback you leaved, (please leave fives!) so if you have a problem, just let me know!
