This shell was so rare it was rarely included in any book, (I mean, why bother, if no one was ever going to see one, much less own one, right?) and the only reason I knew anything about them was because of a big article in the Hawaiian Shell News about the beachcombers in Africa who had been finding them. Then one day those beachcombers learned somehow that a shrimp trawler had picked up a couple of live ones... They scampered down to the docks, and the rest is history.... Now anyone can own one, even you, but big ones like this are still on the hard-to-find list. And this big beauty, with its gorgeous pattern, vivid color, intact spire, smooth growth lines, and an incredible lip, well, this big near-GEM shell is a joy to behold, and will look fantastic in your collection!The perfect shell for a first-rate collection...
