Description: Lot 205 "Big Leaf Maple Bowl". Artist and extraordinary crafts person Dennis Elliot was a founding member (drummer) of the rock band Foreigner in 1976. He left the band in 1993, settled in Florida, and began his career as a sculptor working primarily in wood. This second career has yielded critical acclaim, and his work is in major collections and museums all over the world. The bow loffered here is of burled maple from the Northwest United States and has decorative incised lines, iconographic symbols, and a sculpted circumference. The color and finish are extraordinary. It is signed Dennis Elliot and dated 1995 on the bottom. This is a very special work. 21"across x7"high
