It's flexible and conforms well to the wearers body and weighting only about 3lbs making this very comfortable to wear. We tested the vest with 6 rounds of 9mm out of 16" carbine with zero penetrations. The bullets were stopped at the 7 or 8th out of 30 sheets sheet of the fabric.
