Description: These crystal wine glasses were produced in west Germany, before the fall of the Berlin wall, and purchased in 1976 before my wedding. I was unable to determine who produced them, but have learned a lot doing research. The bowl of the glass is just a bit wider than the top allowing for the aroma of the wine to be released when swirled. The wider of the crystal glasses were originally a champagne glass, it now can list as a sherbert glass. The stems are delicate in look but sturdy and well balanced in your hand. And the glass on the body of the crystal is very smooth, and has that beautiful sound that fine crystal makes when tapped. You can also make them sing when you run your finger around top of the glass, another sign of fine crystal. I also learned that some of the finest and oldest crystal wine glasses were produced in Germany. A couple have only been used a handful of times over the years, and have stayed in the china cabinet, protected. They have never been in a dishwasher, only hand washed. There are no scratches, cracks, or chips in them, and they are in excellent condition. Thanks for visiting my listing. I would be more than happy to answer any serious inquiries you might have. My goal is to provide you a great product, inspected, packed with care, and delivered safely. And I plan to do that by making this a great experience for you and me. The set of crystal glasses will arrive in multiple boxes to insure they arrive undamaged, and to save on shipping cost. I could possibly break the set if someone only wanted 4 or 6 of the glasses. At a cost of $15 to $20 a glass. Thanks for looking
