Blazon Inc. started in Ohio in 1946 as a manufacturer of children’s play and sporting equipment, and their products were distributed and sold through such outlets as Montgomery Ward; Sears, Roebuck & Co and J.C. Penny & Co. to name just a few. The Blazon ride-on horses were introduced in the 1960s and this little toddler model could not be cuter! Thick molded plastic secured to a lightweight metal rocker frame, wooden handles at head, chestnut color with a brown saddle and yellow pad/flower. The Letter B is Stamped on the back upper leg for Blazon. Rocker frame measures approx. 24 ½ x 7 inches; pony measures approx. 18 x 14 ½ x 8 ½ inches. Horse and rocker measure approx. 16 inches high. I have taken the rocker apart from the horse, so there is a little assembly required to put the pegs of the rocker back into the bottom of the horses hoofs. Pre-owned: the horse has a lot of finish missing, and the metal rocker is also scratched. The decals on the eyes are puckered. Priced accordingly.
