This sale is Or Best Offer.Guaranteed old, original, and as described. This Blue & White stoneware Peacock spittoon or cuspidor was produced 1911 - 1924 by the Brush-McCoy Pottery Company, Ohio. It measures 6" in height and 7-1/2" diameter at the rim. There are eight embossed peacocks all around it with two being on each quarter. These two are separated by a water fountain on each side. The peacocks are strutting on a brick garden wall. The body of the spittoon is also embellished with various embossed shrubs and trees. Please carefully review the photos as they are an essential element of the descriptive process. This is a piece not to be missed and would be a welcome addition to any quality collection of Blue & White stoneware! CONDITIONWith the exception of a small glaze flake or shallow paint chip which generates a slight shallow, short one inch line on the inside rim only, this piece is as made with no other post production issues. Seam visible where the two halves were joined. This not damage but a very frequently factory element seen on majority of Blue & White stone pieces.
