Description: BOB CLAMPETT'S BEANY DELL FOUR COLOR #368 1st BEANY & CECIL COMIC VG- GOLDEN AGE 1951 Nice condition Dell Four Color #368 featuring the first ever comic book appearance of Bob Clampett's Beany and Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent. Long before the show became a cartoon, the Dell Four Color version presented the first cartoon version of the characters adapted from a live action puppet show produced by legendary Warner Brothers cartoon director Bob Clampett. Comic features what will soon become the iconic cartoon versions (rendered here by Jack Bradbury) of the characters including Beany, Cecil, Dishonest John, Captain Huffenpuff and others. Comic is fully complete and, while I am not a comic grader, should fall in to the Very Good Minus category. Cover has some light wear, some minor creasing and dust shadow on the right hand side. Spine is in nice shape. Back cover has some light wear and small tears and left hand border dust shadow. Interior pages are off white/very light tan, free of any notable rips, tears, creasing, writing, cut outs or blemishes. Overall a nice collectible copy of this first Beany & Cecil comic appearance.
