Description: THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDER! Thundercats fans, you are bidding on an incredible piece inked and colored by the legendary comic artist, Bob Layton. Bob personally sent me this piece after his year long trip overseas with the last stop in Seoul, Korea. While there, we collaborated with Seohyeon Soon, his apprentice, on this piece. He had her create this cover to Thundercats as a training exercise. Seohyeon designed the cover art featuring Lion-O, Cheetara, Tygra, Pantero, Wilykat, Wilykit, and Mumm-Ra. After Bob inked and colored it, to teach her those techniques over her blue line pencils. The piece measures 11”x17”. Bob has been very supportive of my charitable endeavors for over a decade. He donated this piece directly to Zombie Leader’s Comic Art for LLS & Lustgarten (CALL) Auction, once he was stateside. (NOTES: The piece is “as is.” Corners may not all be crisp but the art sure is. The piece will be insured for the winning bid and will be backed with a board to ensure safe delivery.) Proceeds of this auction benefit The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
