Description: The classic trapper has been a widespread form of knife since the beginning of the 20th century as a versatile pocket knife and owes its name to the American rangers who roamed North America as hunters and trappers. They were among the most important explorers and pioneers of the European settlement on the continent and were often the first to contact the Indians and Eskimos. Also at the turn of the century, Hugo Asbach in Rüdesheim on the Rhine created the German brandy that is still on everyone's lips today as Asbach Uralt. Particularly important for the characteristic taste of this noble brandy is the complex maturing process, which takes place in small oak barrels made of Limousin oak wood that has been aged for several years. Its wood is particularly large-pored and permeable to air, so that the fine brandy can breathe and mature in exchange with the air in this way.
