BRADY'S / FAMILY / BITTERS bold emb on 3 sunken panels....Hand blown in mold, bimal....crude applied tapered lip....square....9 3/8"tall...amber with hint of reddish color....Excellent condition with only a small shallow flake on bottom edge of lip (which could easily be buffed out); no other damage. A dug bottle with some light inside haze. Nice bold embossing...would easily tumble clean to near mint as the glass is not etched or pitted. Brady's Family Bitters was produced by David C.Brady & Co of Louisville. It was being advertised by 1863. The company used the motto "Everybody Takes It" in their advertising......
