Brazillian Rosewood Dobro Guitar

This Dobro was custom built for me in 2010, by Luthier Raymond Fairchild in his “home shop” and display rooms. Ray purchased the Brazilian Rosewood from Martin Guitar Company in Nazareth Pennsylvania possibly 40 years earlier. Ray kept his wood supply in temperature and humidity controlled areas. Ray passed away in 2023, which ended his 40 plus years of building wonderful Dobros, Dreadnought guitars, Mandolins and one Pedal steel guitar. On this Dobro, the small or upper bout measures 10-1/2 inches, large or lower bout measures 14-1/2 inches. Depth of the Dobro at the upper bout measures 3-3/4 inches and 4 inches at the lower bout or tail piece area. The Dobro has 22 fret (inlaid markers). The front is Engelmann Spruce. The sides are Brazilian Rosewood and the back is a three piece Brazilian Rosewood back. I am selling this Dobro and a Fairchild Total Brazilian Rosewood Dobro since I have four Fairchild Dobros.I included a photo of myhself with one of my Fairchild Dobros. and a short scale Dobro made by my Luthier friend Jack Stepick of Newton NJ and a Mini Weissenborn also made by Jack.
