Description: Brilliant! Vintage Richard Hudnut, double compartment powder/rouge compact. 1930s. This unused, gleaming piece is in VERY good condition! Displays beautifully! The face is adorned w/a chevron pattern of violet & teal, alternating w/raised gold, adding brilliance to the chevron optical illusions. Rectangular smooth beveled borders on top & shining gold bottom, slant together to edge. Almost all inner/outer gold is flawless. One edge w/some dimming of gold. Hudnut, NY.etched on picture-frame around mirror w/slightest fade. Powder well empty, pressed powder rouge, mint w/Hudnut imprint, & has both puffs. Closures firm.
