Description: British Pattern 1796 Light Cavalry Troopers Sword. Completely unmarked. The grip, guard and pommel all move a tiny bit if you force them. The backstrap was replaced at some point. The grip is down to the wood, there are a couple small pieces of leather by the backstrap edge. The blade has been sharpened, some nicks, pitting with surface rust scattered throughout, some age spots, and has a couple slight bends on the lower half. The washer is missing. No scabbard. Length of the blade is 32 13/16" (1 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick), and the sword is 37 9/16". Check out my other War Items! Including Several Swords and Many Bayonets!!
