Description: An original bronze sculpture by Egyptian/American/Israeli artist Dina Recanati (1928-2021). Large piece, the bronze stands 16 1/2 inches in height by 12 inches in width, it is signed with the artists incised signature, date of 1973, and with edition number 6/6. The wooden base adds another couple of inches to the dimensions. Condition is excellent. Included in the sale is the Tel Aviv Museum hardbound catalogue of the Recanati retrospective exhibition held in 2001. This sculpture is from Recanati's "Gate Series", begun in 1970. The last image in the gallery is an archival photo of taken in Recanati's New York studio at some time in the 1970s, it shows a progression in the Gate series and this piece (or another from the same small edition) is the second in line.
