Description: DETAILS: Buffalo New York African American newspaper, The Buffalo Enterprise, For Race, Home And Country, Volume 1, Number 7, Dec 21, 1918, Rev. E. Robert Bennette, Editor, Emmett J. Scott Contributor. Four pages in length. Appears to be excuslively devoted to African Americans soldiers in combat during the Great War. Most of the coverage is focused on the US Army 92nd Infantry Division (sic. Buffalo Soldiers) and their heroic accomplishments in their European campaign. Several of their battles are recited in detail. There are also pieces on African American seaman serving in the US Navy. Makes for a fascinating read. We have searched the past 20 years of online sales history as well as OCLC academic institutional holdings and have been unable to locate another physical copy of this title. Most likely the only complete example left in existence. Measures 18" x 24" inches. Scarce. CONDITION: Newspaper is whole and complete. Has minor wear which can be seen in the images provided - mainly a few small tears at extremities. The cover shows the most sign of wear with the interior pages being cleaner.
