The original Close Elbow by Builder's Best is designed to make 90˚ turns within 4″. Maximum velocity for this duct is 5,000 FPM. Temperature can range from - 100 degrees Fahrenheit to + 430 degrees Fahrenheit. It is made out of 100% aluminum and thus is also recommended by clothes dryer manufacturers. The kit includes: one 8 foot UL 2158A Approved 100% aluminum flexible semi-rigid dryer vent duct, one aluminum Close Elbow, and two steel screw clamps. The UL Approved flexible pipe has one crimped (male) fitting which fits into most wall pipes. The Close Elbow maintains a 4. 5 inch 90 degree turn and features swiveling fittings which help you direct the airflow. The clamps are designed to resist stretching and are used to secure dryer and wall connections. This kit will take 4. 5 inches to 6 inches of clearance behind the dryer.
