The 2-7X is less than 9" o.a.l. and has a forgiving 3-5" eye relief to be able to be positioned forward. Note: The rear extension ring set shown in the catalog illustration is best for the turn-in type bases. This scope is just right for a classic "minimalist" mountain rifle and also for a hard kicking carbine, or, a shortened stock youth rifle. The glass is immaculate.
