Description: A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1958 to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the first Butterfield Overland Mail Service from St. Louis to San Francisco which was In service between September, 1958 and March 1961. The service delivered passengers and mail over it's 2795 mile route in less than 25 days. These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office almost 70 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone interested in the history of US Mail service or your favorite mail carrier or coworker! See my other auctions of more stamp blocks of historical significance! All stamps are Mint Never Hinged. Shipping is $1.00 for first class mail. Additional stamp block auctions won, paid for in one COMBINED transaction and shipped at the same time are only 25 cents extra per auction (sheets and booklets not included), with a maximum shipping charge of $5.00, no matter how many auctions you win. Please pay for all of your auctions in one payment. All payments are to be in US currency only. I send stamps out when I receive your payment or the day after if the mail has already gone out. If you have questions, please email me before bidding.
