Set Includes: 2-Gasket Set for Heat Exchanger 5 kW and 8 kW Diesel Heater/Tent/Parking Heater * Compatibility: P/N 252113010003, P/N 252113060001 * "Outer" gasket for fan-to-heat exchanger assembly * "Inner" gasket for burner tube-to-heat exchanger assembly 1 x Base Gasket 2 kW - 5 kW - 8 kW Diesel Heater/Tent/Parking Heater * Compatibility: P/N D252069010002, P/N 29620A * High-temperature silicone compound is superior material and quality to the original natural rubber gasket, the latter prone to hardening and cracking when exposed to prolonged periods of high temperature 1 x Burner Tube Fuel Line Grommet 5 kW and 8 kW Diesel Heater/Tent/Parking Heater * Genuine Eberspacher P/N 252069060002 * Rubber grommet for sealing fuel line/heat exchanger assembly (you may experience fuel leak out through intake tube if not sealed!) 1 x Stainless Steel Atomizer Screen (while supplies last) Why wait 4-6 weeks, or more, for shipping from overseas? Why risk a damaged item from the rigors of overseas shipping?- after waiting all that time, you finally receive an unusable item?Service your diesel parking heater if it is giving you problems, or before storing it until next winter:- easier to clean carbon/soot build up before it hardens- diesel heater will be ready-to-go when taken out of storage Service Tips:Atomizer Screen* If you remove the atomizer screen, it may get damaged and need to be replaced (FREE stainless steel atomizer screen included... while supplies last) * No need to replace atomizer screen! Simply use a propane/butane torch with a narrow flame to burn off the carbon/soot with the screen still installed in the burner tube assembly, then blow away the ash with compressed air (the stainless steel screen does not wear out)* Installing an atomizer screen? Make future removal easier (really!). Thoroughly clean the atomizer screen channel. Using a clean Q-tip cotton swab, add a tiny amount (match head size) of anti-seize compound on the side (not tip) of the cotton ball and apply a thin smear/coat on the channel wall where the atomizer screen will be installed/seated. DO NOT apply compound directly to screen!Gaskets * Thoroughly clean the metal surfaces that come in contact with the gaskets; be careful not to nick/gouge the metal - apply anti-seize compound to the mating metal surfaces of BOTH parts- place the gasket on one part- align the other part and place it on the gasket- install the bolts to finish the assembly- the anti-seize compound does not affect and even enhances the seal; allows simple/quick disassembly and often allows reuse of the gaskets; because the gaskets come off easily and intact, only minor cleaning of the mating metal surfaces may be needed- you can apply the anti-seize compound directly to the gasket, however, you may damage the gasket in the process while holding it... tip: place gasket on flat surfaceGrommet * Excessive or “roaring” airflow noise may indicate a grommet seal leak and/or broken/leaking outer gasket (fan to heat exchanger seal) * Before installing the new grommet, use a round file to deburr/remove excess casting material from the heat exchanger opening so as not to damage the grommet during assembly and use * Apply dielectric grease to the grommet and/or the heat exchanger to facilitate installation/removalFuel Hose * FYI... the fuel hose from the dosing pump output to the burner tube's fuel line input neither has to be rigid nor stiff, a common misconception: - the dosing pump does not generate enough pressure in the fuel line to warrant hose stiffness - the diesel fuel "drips" onto the atomizer screen, i.e., there is no diesel injector, poppet valve or ball-spring pressure that has to be overcome to allow the fuel to flow * FYI... the fuel hose to the dosing pump input /suction end must be rigid/stiff * FYI... tiny air bubbles at the output end of the dosing pump are created by cavitation when the pump draws fuel from fuel hose... if the air bubbles are large and form larger air pockets/embolus, error codes E-08 while running or E-10 on startup, may result (worst case). The diesel heater combustion temperature will decrease resulting in less heat output (fewer heat indicator bars) and the strong exhaust fumes will indicate poor/incomplete combustion. Our experience was the fuel tank/pickup was located too low below the dosing pump... relocated it, noticed the air bubbles reverted to tiny (from large) and no problems since... * Free USA shipping USPS has combined ground shipping options.
