Description: Offering a beautiful antique ~Victorian ~ pink transferware large water pitcher, made by Edward and Charles Challinor, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. The Company was in business in 1862-1891, Fenton Potteries. PATTERN: "Portland" ~ features hand-colored house interior decorated with vases, urns, flowers and the scrolled floral border by the opening. ~ Very RARE & Hard to find. DIMENSIONS: 11-1/2" high x 8-1/4" handle to spout x 8" widest point on the body x 5-5/8" diameter by the opening x 4-3/4" diameter at the bottom. Condition: VERY GOOD, with age appropriate wear: fine crazing on glaze, minor chip to the bottom rim, glaze scuff on the spout, small hairlines on the top of the handle. Sells as found.
