The miniature Carved Black Madonna and Child Jesus itself measures 5 5/8" tall x 2 1/2" wide 1 1/4" deep in size. A wonderfully embellished hand carved and hand painted 275 year old religious relic / artifact of POLAND POLISH ORIGIN. Wood carving of a BLACK MADONNA and CHILD which infers that JESUS was and his mother were BLACK. Wear is consistent with age and use. Please see all photos as they are part of the description. With antique identifying paper manuscript label on verso. ALL ORIGINAL. Black velvet background and an apparent small wound section of sliver thread tucked behind the black velvet and wood sculpture.
