Description: c.1930s Print Block Early Seaplane/Floatplane +Bonus Print Block (from same period) - Concept "Flying Wing" [ FEATURES AND CONDITION DETAILS... ]These original period print blocks came from the estate of a collector of antique/vintage aircraft-related items.The larger print block is approx. 3½" square, and it contains a professionally-made line drawing of an early seaplane in three views: plan, elevation, and section--including the aircraft's dimensions (shown in feet and inches). It is unclear what specific model this meant to depict. It is similar to the 1938-era Vought OS2U Kingfisher or Curtis SOC Seagull. Or it may just have been a piece of conceptual artwork for Popular Mechanics or another magazine.The bonus print block is from the same period (c.1930s), approx. 2" x 3½" and appears to be an artist's conception of a futuristic "flying wing." They are either zinc or magnesium, mounted on mahogany blocks. [ CONDITION... ]- As-is vintage condition, from a non-smoking environment- A hint of surface corrosion as pictured--typical with these zinc/magnesium images. These blocks are being sold as-is.
