Description: CAC M.F. CHRISTENSEN 0.66 AGATE CO. 1925-33 AMBER SWIRL FLAMES NM/MT +- MA1 I DO MY BEST TO ACCURATELY IDENTIFY ALL MARBLES, BUT EVEN SELF-PROCLAIMED MARBLE EXPERTS SAY THEY ARE UNSURE OF WHAT TYPE A MARBLE IS AT TIMES MARBLE SIZE IN INCHES: 0.66CONDITION: NM/MT +-LOCATION: MA1Mint: A marble that is in original condition. The surface is unmarked and undamaged. There may be some minor rubbing on the surface, however, the marble is the way it came from the factoryNear Mint: A marble that has seen minor usage. There may be evidence of hit marks, usually tiny to small subsurface moons, pinprick chips, tiny to small flakes or tiny to small bruises. The damage does not detract from viewing the marble. If there is noticeable damage, then it is on only one side of the marble and the other side is Mint.Good: A marble that has seen usage. It will have numerous hit marks, subsurface moons, chips, flakes or bruises. The core can still be seen clearly, but the marble has obviously been used. If the damage is large or deep, then it is confined to one side and the other side is Mint to Near Mint.Collectible: A marble that has seen significant usage. Overall moons, chips, flakes, and bruises. The core is completely obscured in some spots. A Collectible marble has served its functional purpose and been well used. Still, it is a placeholder in a collection until a better example comes along.DON’T BE FOOLED BY MODERN MACHINE MADE MARBLES: Machine made marbles will not have pontils as they are rolled right after being cut (unless they are transitional 1902~1925 generally speaking), only handmade and transitional marbles have pontils. Most transitional marbles are slags (white + other transparent color, usually). 80% of all slags are Acro Agate. Modern machine made marbles, like Vacor and Mega, usually do not have seams or crimp marks. Vintage marbles will usually have 1 seam (rod/stream ends or diaper fold) to 2 seams (rod/stream middles). Creases are improperly cooled imperfections that are typically rounded and smooth, but are not pontils. If a marble looks perfect, that’s a good indicator its modern machined. Most vintage marbles are not perfect spheres, they wobble slightly when rolled. COMBINE SHIPPING FOR MARBLES PAY ONLY ONE SHIPPING !
