California YOM programThey can be used to register a passenger vehicle model years 1970 thru 1980 in the state of California under the YOM program. They must have the vehicle's proper model year sticker. 1970 thru 1980 stickers are available on other ebay sites. I have not heard of anyone having a problem with the DMV and reproduction stickers. I have some stickers that are original DMV issued available, please inquire for your year and price. I verified the eligibility on 8/21/21 and guarantee them as clear for 90 days from date of sale or your money back. You can see the DMV paperwork by going to dmv.ca.gov and search for YOM, look for the PDF file for the form. The form lists the requirements for plates to qualify. Note that although the program is called "Year of Manufacture" (YOM), the required license sticker must match the MODEL year of the vehicle to be registered. The DMV will issue the proper month sticker when registering. They will also send you the license sticker toppers as shown in the final picture, so that if you want to retail the model year sticker, you can use the toppers for the new registration month and year stickers.
