She was trained at Columbia University, UC Berkeley, and the Otis Art Institute as well as in the studios of well known artists, such as Norman Bel Geddes. Her travel in Europe engaged her with the modern French masters. Her works were exhibited in the 1940's at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in an unique exhibition of living artists.
