Description: CANADA – SC #101 – 10¢ - VIOLET – SPACE FILLER – USED – 1908 Subject = Quebec in 1700 – See Comment Sc # = 101 Value = 10¢ Color = Violet Date = 1908 Condition = Used Cancel = Extensive but transparent Faults = Definitely My Grade = Space Filler Comments = This stamp along with Sc #’s 102 & 103 were all in the same collection. I grade all as being “space fillers.” Viewing these three stamps head on, they appear to be in much better condition than they really are. In a “Shurgard” mount they would look nice but they all have faults ranging from multiple small tears and/or holes, there are thins and one with a large perf pull. When I purchased the collection it was at a local auction and stamps could not be removed from the album and there was only an hour to inspect lots. Imagine a bunch of people all standing around trying to view the collection the same time you are. Believe me there is no way I can sell these stamps for what I estimated them to be worth. I still think they have a real value as a space filler considering they range in value from $80 to $120 $can in fine not VF.
