Description: This listing is for a Cannonball Brute Pete Christlieb series professional alto saxophone. I used this throughout high school as well as college but it’s sadly time for it to go. The saxophone is in very good condition overall. The nature of the finish leaves an “aged brass” look which you can see from the main handling areas of lighter vs darker colored patina/finish. The finish is an acid wash I believe. There is some tarnish on the outside of the bell which is visible in the photos. It does not affect playability or function. There are no dings or cracks/chips/dents. The sax was checked out a year ago by a very well known and respected service tech (who was also one of my jazz teachers) in NE Ohio. He reset a few of the lower register keys. No issues with the action of the horn- it also plays well. Please note that it has been sitting for a year, so there is a chance it may need a couple adjustments made. If this is the case I will not accept a return based on this as I had it looked at and necessary adjustment were made at the time, then it sat in the case. I can provide photos the receipt showing said adjustments if necessary. Pads are in good condition and do not need to be replaced yet, however my tech did not replace pads. Stored in the basement of my NE Ohio home away from humidity and water. This sax would be great for a student in middle/high school looking for a step up instrument, or a professional player’s weekend horn. Case is worn on the edges from 9 years of use/carrying, but no loss of integrity to protection of horn. Comes with Cannonball neck strap, 2 Cannonball mouthpieces, and black accessory case pictured.
