Canon T-70 SLR Film Camera With Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 Lens

Description: Canon T-70 with FD 50mm F/1.8 lensThis camera works great and is in very good cosmetic condition. The T-70 was the second of three T series Canon FD SLRs in the 1980s. The first was the simplistic T-50 that was full auto exposure only. Then comes this T-70 which offered similar functionality to the AE-1 Program in a small motorized body. The final model was the T-90 which was a semi-professional model. I tested this camera for functionality. The shutter works great and the speeds seem to be very close to the set speed value. I do not have proper shutter test machines so I eyeballed it, and in my experience shutter speeds are often slightly off even in brand new cameras so it is close enough. The meter works well and offers similar values on a grey card to my modern R5. I ran a roll of film through to test the transport system and it works fine as well. I did not process the film this is a roll I used for making sure the camera properly advances film. This is an ideal camera for a film student or someone that wants to try out film. Keep in mind that manual exposure is possible on this camera and that is often a prerequisite for film students. The camera is aimed at auto exposure and offers multiple metering styles in auto. The included 50mm f/1.8 lens is a great all round lens and when shot wide open provides pleasing portrait results with a nice soft background that can isolate the subject.
