Description: Wild caught canned albacore tuna. Caught with pole and line, one at a time. We are very careful and picky about our fish. We catch them off the coast of Oregon and Washington in the pristine offshore waters, usually between 30 and 200 miles from shore. The fish are filleted by hand, brined in brown sugar and salt, then rinsed and put into the smoker. These are actually truly smoked fish, not like other brands that just add smoked flavoring. They are packed in the cans by hand, canned, and we ship them out to you. Shelf life from the time of canning is 5 years. We like to age the fish a bit before selling, so it soaks up the fish oil that cooks out in the canning process. This is my favorite of all our our 12 flavors of albacore that we sell from our web site. You will be amazed at the flavor. Don't drain the can. The liquid is the good for you and good tasting fish oil.
