Custom made specifically for industrial manufacturing. So you will be able to reuse the cones over and over again for a long time. Pigtail notch at the bottom for winding yarn onto cone. Great sturdy cone shape, used for many crafts. Great for Winding Yarn, Winding Wool, Knitting Machines, Craft Projects, Angels, Etc. Hard to find. They work with Electric cone winders. There are mages showing the notch and the purpose of the notch. One is of a close-up of putting the pigtail in the notch. The other image shows a cone of yarn without a notch and the result of what can happen when putting yarn on a cone without the notch. The cones without notches can result in the yarn slipping off the cone after yarn has been put on. These cones have the notch. ***If you get your order and there are some used ones in there, please count the new cones first. The used cones are extras that I tossed in at no charge to fill the box.
